The port of Ventotene is the second most important port of the Pontine islands (the first is Ponza). Ferries and hydrofoils arrive at the new port of Cala Rossano which connect the island all year round with Formia, Terracina and Ponza and, in summer, with Naples Mergellina and Casamicciola Terme.
Instead, private boats can moor in the new port and in the Roman port which is the heart of Ventotene: during the day you can meet recreational divers who dedicate themselves to wonderful diving around the island; while in the evening the Roman port is the ideal place for an aperitif before deciding in which other bar or restaurant to continue the evening.
