The port of Capri is located in Marina Grande, north of the island. It's a natural inlet protected by two large artificial docks. Part of the port is reserved for passenger and freight traffic; another to pleasure boating and fishing boats.

As always happens on the islands, the port is the first tourist postcard that welcomes visitors. Connections with Naples and Sorrento are guaranteed all year round, while from Easter to October there are also connections with Castellammare, Salerno, Positano, Amalfi and Ischia.

It's equipped with all the comforts and services of a modern tourist city. There are the ticket offices of the shipping companies and the ticket office of the funicular, whose station is a few tens of meters away. Funicular is the main means of transport to reach the center of the island (the Piazzetta) but, of course, taxis are also found near the port.

Finally, still from the port of Marina Grande, the boats leave for the tour of the island and the transfer to the legendary Blue Grotto.
